Education is a powerful tool to empower children, but in Guatemala only about 25% of children go to high school¹ and only about half of these complete it. Our Guatemala Stove Project (GSP) volunteers have come to understand the pressing need for financial help for Mayan children’s education.
Often parents must decide if their child has to work to help support the family, or if they can afford uniforms, books etc. for school. Your support will help to transform lives and communities.
Education improves employment opportunities and income, particularly for women, ability to assist in community affairs, and childcare and family health². Mayan families wish this wholeheartedly for their children.
